Our Teen Create Intensive is a three-week program ideal for dancers ages 13 – 17. Dancers will train in the heart of downtown Chicago in partnership with Roosevelt University and Columbia College Chicago.

Allow dancers to engage in creative processes with diverse choreographers in an inclusive and innovative setting.
Program Dates + Schedule
June 23 – July 11, 2025 (No classes or rehearsals will be held on July 4th)
Classes are from approximately 9:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Participants must be available for the entire Program.
Program Curriculum
Dancers will explore, research, and collaborate with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago Company Dancers and Leadership. In addition to the creative process, dancers will attend one morning and one afternoon technique class taught by Linda-Denise Fisher-Harrell, Jonathan Alsberry, Craig D. Black Jr., current HSDC company members, and local professionals. The program curriculum will include Ballet, Contemporary, Horton, Modern, Jazz, Improv, Floorwork, and Hip Hop. Educational discussions are also embedded within the program schedule.
Program Structure
The Director of Summer Intensives will assign dancers to groups as appropriate. Class sizes in each cohort will be approximately 30 dancers. Onsite auditions for placement will not be held. At the conclusion of the program, a sharing session for friends and family will be offered. Please note that capacity will be restricted.

A 25% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of registration to secure enrollment in our programs. The total deposit fee will reflect your enrollment and any optional amenities you choose.
Housing
Hubbard Street offers student housing just a short walk from the studios. Suites are air-conditioned, apartment-style housing with a 24-hour security guard. Each suite contains a common living space, kitchen, and shared bathroom. Apartments come with basic dorm-style furnishings. Kitchens are equipped with refrigerators, stove-top ovens, and microwaves. Wireless internet, utilities, and free laundry facilities are included in the cost of housing. Resident Assistants live on-site to monitor students and plan activities on evenings and weekends.
A 5- or 10-week meal plan is offered at a separate cost. Dancers may also opt to prepare meals in their suites. Several restaurants and supermarkets are located nearby.
Housing and meals are optional amenities not included in the program tuition costs. Please note that housing is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Housing and meal fees are non-refundable.
