"Inside/Out" Choreographic Workshop

A RARE GLIMPSE OF THE CHOREOGRAPHIC TALENT WITHIN THE COMPANY.

Saturday, June 27, 2009
TWO PERFORMANCES 6:00 and 8:30 p.m.
at the Hubbard Street Dance Center

RAW • CHALLENGING • ADVENTUROUS

At “Inside/Out”, HSDC dancers take on the role of choreographer when they create their own works and set them on fellow company members. The result is an amazing evening comprised of fresh and fun new works that may ultimately be brought into HSDC repertoire and premiered in Chicago, such as Brian Enos’ Diphthong (2003), Lucas Crandall’s Gimme (2004), and Alejandro Cerrudo’s Lickety-Split (2006).

Now in its ninth year, “Inside/Out” has added a new layer by challenging the participating dancers to create site-specific works in various spaces within the Hubbard Street Dance Center itself, from the studio to warehouse space to the conference room. Come see what happens for yourself… and stick around for the after-party.
